Prayer is a very powerful tool! I’m sure that most of you know that! All this month I have been praying for my husband, each and every day.

I found this 31 Days of Praying for Your Husband outline online and added it to my list of goals (101 goals, to be exact) to do three times.
Well, all this month (July) I have been praying for Michael. I have been very encouraged and inspired each day as I pray for him. It has been a wonderful time!
Sometimes, in all the hustle and bustle of the day, I forget to pray for Michael. So, this was nice because it reminded me each day to spend time in prayer on his behalf!
I would encourage all the wives out there, PRAY FOR YOUR HUSBAND! It is a wonderful honor!
This book was such a light and quick read. Tricia tells us about her journey of motherhood and how it has been shaped by the grip of God, from becoming a teen parent, to working in ministries with children, to home schooling, and much more! Her transparent approach to sharing God’s impact on her life is so personal and inspiring! She encourages all women who read this book to look for God everywhere.
What way to go through your day (and life!), finding God everywhere! I was extremely inspired while reading this book. Tricia doesn’t paint parenting as a beautiful art work, but as, well, a mess sometimes. She helped me to see that although parenting is hard, God is with you, guiding you, encouraging you, and shaping you to be more like Him! I’ve been a mom for nineteen years, and I’m still not a perfect parent or person. I’m a mess, actually. But I’m a mess that I let God get a hold of. Not because I’m spiritual, but because I was – and am – desperate. I’ve done many things wrong, but I do one thing right. When I’m uncertain, I seek God. And I fill up with His love in order to pour it out (pg.35). This was a great read! For more information you can visit the Product Page at Random House and even read an excerpt from the book, or you could visit Tricia Goyer’s website.

There are several different ways to participate (Click here to learn more about that). I am going to participate each month by sharing what books I have read and written a review for in the last month and what books I would like to read in the next month. In addition to the following list, I also have a master list of books I am planning on reading in 2009. I am challenging myself to read 50 books! I update the master list regularly with reviews of the books I have read. You can check that out here. I missed a few months, so I will be updating you on what I have read in May, June, and July. Books I Have Read Since May:
I love books like this because I always coming away from reading it and have learned something new about marriage! Douglas Wilson talked about true biblical marriage and what it looks like today and it was so challenging and encouraging! Finish reading my review here. More than anything, this book challenged me to not live a mediocre Christian life but to live every minute striving to give God glory and also realizing how truly sinful this world is! Finish reading my review here.
This book lays out the options and pros and cons of each option and then gives a very lengthy list of agencies and attorneys in each state that you could work with. This book is meant to help you decide which route you want to take to adopt and assist in finding someone to help you do it. Finish reading my review here.
This book is designed to offer biblical solutions for problems women face. There are three parts: Biblical Solutions for Problems with Others, Biblical Solutions for Problems with Ourselves, and Biblical Solutions for Problems with the World.
I found this book at the library and I am so happy that I did. This book divides our state by geographical area and lists tons of great activities to do for the whole family.

This book definitely helped me tons! I was nervous about some of the basic skills of parenting, but this book really helped to ease some of my worries. Finish reading my review here.
If you are just looking for a book to teach your children basic Bible stories, you will be pleased with this book. But, remember, it is a Bible story book, not a Bible. Finish reading my review here.
This book was short and practical. It was a very easy read. I truly wish I would have read it earlier, but the wisdom will come in hand again, I am sure! Finish reading my review here. Books I Plan To Read in August:
