Being a Titus 2 Woman | Feminine Appeal Review

I have had so much fun sharing with you all that I have learned in the book Feminine Appeal. This series (Being a Titus 2 Woman) has been extremely rewarding for me, and for you, it seems from your comments. I am going to end by giving a final review of the book.

I love books that help me to understand more about how to apply virtues from the Bible into everyday life to help us grow closer to and glorify God. This book does just that!

Carolyn Mahaney takes a well known passage from Titus 2 and gives practical, detailed, biblical advice on how to live out the 7 virtues, loving our husbands, loving our children, self-control, purity, working at home, kindness, and submission. Carolyn shares personal stories about her journey being a wife and mother.

It is truly like Carolyn is training the reader as a “younger woman” on how to live these virtues out in our lives. I do not have an “older woman” to go to for everything or to train me up, so for me Carolyn took on this role as I was reading through this book.

Carolyn doesn’t dance around tough topics (Like working at home or submission) she talks directly about them in a biblical point of view. She is direct, but speaks with love. She challenges the reader in such a powerful way to stay focused on Christ and realize that that is where our strength lays.

More than anything, Carolyn reinforces that we cannot obtain or live out any of these virtues on our own. We cannot succeed at being a wife or mother on our own. The only way to live these virtues out is to live in and for Christ, relying on Him to strengthen and equip us to do the work He has called us to do.

Everything that I have talked about during this series and this review is only scratching the surface of all the wisdom included in this book. I highly recommend this book to every Christian woman! It is a must-read!
