Adopting for Life :: Putting God First Place

Adopting for Life

In September of 2012, I moved my writing home to a new space titled Fostering Love at Home. I'd love for you to join me there!

I am so excited!!!! Many of you know that my husband and I are currently in the process of adopting (Our Adoption Story – Part 1). We are adopting from foster care and are currently waiting to be matched. I am very passionate about adopting, and have talked many times about adoption, and reviewed a great book about adoption last year.

Well, Michael and I are at an adoption conference with a few other couples from our church this weekend. So, I thought that I would tell you guys about it too!!!

The overall goal of this conference was:

To promote a Biblical perspective on adoption, educating prospective adoptive parents, encouraging parents that have already adopted, and influencing church leaders to support adoption.

I was very excited to see God at work this weekend for adoption and truly I hope that if you have never thought about adoption, that you would read this book for all Christians

Adoption is not just about couples who want children – or who want more children. Adoption is about an entire culture within our churches, a culture that sees adoption as part of our Great Commission mandate and as a sign of the gospel itself.” -pg. 19

  • Glad you're having a great time. I feel so cheesy, but I just love Southern so I'm glad you get to experience it!

  • That's so awesome!! I have always had adoption in the back of my mind. We have 2 of our own,but I wouldn't mind adopting 1 too. It takes special people to adopt I believe and take on someone who is not your own. I pray God's blessings on ya'll!

  • I am the adopted mom of two incredible girls – my life is complete because God has richly blessed me and my husband. Adoption is a very good thing..
Good luck to you in your journey.

    love to you
