No. Not one single bit.
We had been feeling God nudging us to pursue a calling He had placed on our hearts for many months, and we looked into possible schools for Michael to attend to start preparing for full time pastoral ministry.
But, we just didn’t feel at peace with any of the options we had. Then my husband lost his job. We struggled. We didn’t know why God would take away this job that we were planning on keeping until Michael retired…It didn’t make sense to us.
Then we found Louisville, we weren’t even thinking about moving… We were there for a conference. However, we were also there for a divine appointment!
As soon as we got there we both started God pulling and tugging on us. Lousiville? Really, God? We don’t know anyone in Louisville…Our family isn’t in Louisville…Our comfort zone isn’t Louisville…
We had both been feeling the tug since we had arrived…then we talked about. Immediately we both felt God’s hand guiding us to take a step in faith. And…we felt peace.
So, we decided to answer God’s call. Step out in faith and go where we felt God was calling us to go.
Since then, we have found affordable housing and employment with no problem. We have started a journey…following God and trusting in Him to provide all of our needs, which He has done abundantly.
We are very excited about this journey! However, there is a reality that I know…
God is calling each and everyone of us to follow Him. Now, for each of us that is different….but He is calling us.
He is calling us to pick up our cross daily (Luke 9:23).
He is calling us to care for the orphaned and widowed (James 1:27).
He is calling us to proclaim His Name to all nations (Matthew 28:19).
He is calling us to open our home to the hurting (Hebrews 13:2).
God is calling each of us to be His hands and feet in this world.

May God be glorified in and through you guys, your obedience and this move! ♥ Michelle
