A Letter From My Heart to My {Future} Children

Chelsey is a dear friend of mine and she has this feature on her blog, Letters From My Heart. She is changing it up a little bit, into a monthly feature, as well as posing themes for each month.

This month I am joining in the fun!

This month’s theme is to write a letter to a child. I decided to write to a group of children, my future children.

My love bugs,

Hello buggies! I love you so dearly, and I haven’t even met you yet. Even though I don’t even know your names, I want you to know that you are loved. You are in my heart. I pray for you always! Just a couple days ago, I was brought to tears while crying out to God, “Lord, bring our children home quickly.”

I want to hold you. I want to know that you are sleeping in our home and safe and sound. I want to feed you until you are full and content. I want to know the smell of your skin. I want to know what your favorite food is. I want you here with me.

Your daddy and I have been waiting so long for you, you may have been waiting a long time too. This time, even though hard, is growing my love for you. It is so hard to be apart, but please do not grow weary. Our joyful meeting will come, I have a feeling it’s right around the corner.

I wonder so much about what our life is going to look like once you join us in person, not only in heart. What will we do for fun? How will we spend our weekends together? What story will you plead for us to read, yet again, as we tuck you in your bed for slumber?

I don’t know all the details of our future, or when I will get to embrace you in my arms. But, I know one thing. We are waiting for you with a sweet anticipation that is only growing day by day!

God is so good to be orchestrating our joining, our family coming together. Praise Him!

Hoping to see you soon!

Love you lots,

Your Mommy
