I look through the Psalms and countless times the Psalmist is crying out asking the Lord to hear him.
Hear my prayer, O Lord…
Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud…
Hear my cry, O God…
Hear my voice…
Do you cry out to God in your waiting? Begging Him to hear your voice? Begging Him to show you the way to go? Crying out for an answer to this waiting?
I do. I cry out to the Lord to bring me my children. I cry out to the Lord to provide my husband with a long-term job. I cry out to the Lord to show us His ways and allows us to walk in them.
Sometimes, it feels as though I cry out and my words don’t reach the Lord. That some how, He doesn’t hear me.
Ladies, listen good to this, this is a lie that Satan plants in our hearts so that we can begin to waver in our faith, doubt God’s goodness, lose trust.
Instead of focusing on Satan’s lie, let’s hold the Words of God’s Truth close our heart and claim them!
O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear. (Psalm 10:17 ESV)
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. (Psalm 145:18-19 ESV)
When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 ESV)
The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. (Proverbs 15:29 ESV)
These are just a few examples of the fact that when we cry out to the Lord, He hears us.
He hears you while you’re waiting. He hears the aches of your heart. He hears your prayers.

I actually had forgotten to remember that Satan will and indeed does creep in at these times. I for one am trying to keep ultimately focused on God but somehow Satan gets in through the backdoor. It is important to pray for wisdom and discernment to protect us from anymore hurt. I think we are all going through enough!
