Top Ten Things I Love About This Move

Top Ten {Tuesday} Today I am joining in on Top Ten Tuesday.

We just moved yesterday…with that comes all sorts of fun stuff to do!

Here is my top ten list of things I love about this move (I know…I’m crazy, right?):

  1. I get to decorate a whole new house! That means get rid of all the stuff I didn’t like and start new! I’ve got tons of decor ideas!
  2. I get to find a new place for everything! Where would the couch look best? What about the bed?
  3. It’s something new and exciting!
  4. It’s the next step to bring home our children!
  5. I get to “nest” for our children!
  6. Michael and I will be in a house, not apartment, for the first time in our marriage!
  7. We will have a backyard that is only for us!
  8. I will have a washer and dryer in my house again, so no more laundry-mat or hand-washing clothes!!!
  9. We won’t have anybody sharing a wall with our family or living on top of us! Where we moved from, we had a DJ living above us!
  10. We’ll have a new place to live as a family and make memories!

Top Ten Blog Posts I Have Read Recently

Top Ten {Tuesday} Today I am joining in on Top Ten Tuesday.

I have been reading so many awesome blog posts lately I thought I would share the top ten! I’m also going to share a quote that begins to capture the content of each post.

So, here it goes, in on particular order:

How to Really Give :: We are THAT Family

“They get it. This isn’t my journey, it’s our journey. We are learning how to really give together.”

I am a reluctant sojourner. :: Reflections of a Princess

“In the end those things I long for, the temporary treasures of the world, He knows won’t fill my soul. Even if I want them too.”

Hiding :: A Deeper Story

“I didn’t trust my husband to love all of me, including the ugly and the scary. I forgot that we can love and be attracted to a whole person, not just the body that wraps our souls.”

what really happens when you give to the poor :: A Holy Experience

“Those so poor, carry in their arms the Christ, the only true wealth in all this world.”

Waiting in My Wings :: (in)courage

“I trust God. . . and praise Him for the gift I can not yet see, but believe is coming.”

I Don’t Have A Choice :: Sarah Markley

“Even though some days I really want to, I can’t quit. Life doesn’t let me choose.

Toss Out 25 Things :: Raising Homemakers

“This is the equivalent to ugly fat, the only difference being that it’s “lifestyle fat.””

How to Tear Down Your Own House :: Your Sacred Calling

“It seems we all have this tendency to tear down, rather than build up, our houses.”

For When You Need a Date Night :: (in)courage

“Because after 10 years and 3 kids, I’ve discovered that date nights are more of a frame of mind than a date on the calendar.”

Where the Happiness Is :: A Holy Experience

“The act of honking the horn — it made him happy.”

    3. I get to come back home! I’ve been working since we moved to Louisville to save money before we adopt. However, I am so looking forward to the day when I can come back home full time! This will happen when we get a placement, so hopefully in the next 6 months!

    4. We get to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary! I am so joyful to continue sharing my life with my husband! He is so wonderful and great!
